Cordelia Sky Unveils Mumbai Cruises and Onboard Highlights
Cordelia Cruises has shared details of the itineraries and onboard experiences passengers can look forward to when its newest ship, Cordelia Sky, begins operating from Mumbai later this year.
Built in 1999, Cordelia Sky previously sailed as Norwegian Sky. The vessel is scheduled to begin cruises on October 23, launching its first season in the Indian market.
According to Cordelia Cruises, the ship will offer a varied program ranging from short weekend getaways and cruises to Lakshadweep to longer voyages exploring India and Southeast Asia.
Passengers sailing from Mumbai will have several itineraries to choose from, including:
- Two-night weekend cruises from Mumbai
- Three-night weekend cruises to Goa
- Four-night cruises to Lakshadweep
- Five-night cruises visiting Goa and Lakshadweep
Cordelia Sky will also operate seven-night Southeast Asia cruises from Chennai. These itineraries will connect India with destinations including Phuket, Langkawi, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. A corresponding itinerary from Singapore to Chennai will also be available.
Cordelia Cruises said the ship will feature 10 dining venues, giving guests a broad selection of cuisines and dining styles. Options will include regional Indian flavors, sushi, Italian favorites, vegetarian and Jain dishes, buffet dining and casual meals accompanied by ocean views.
Entertainment will center around the 930-seat Marquee Theatre, which will stage the ship’s flagship production show as well as other large-scale productions and variety performances. Elsewhere onboard, passengers will be able to enjoy live music, games, organized activities and additional performances.
Outdoor entertainment will include pickleball and cricket at sea, while dedicated gaming areas will provide further recreational options.
Cordelia Sky also features two swimming pools, five hot tubs and more than 30,000 square feet of outdoor deck space. Other amenities include 11 bars and lounges, a fitness center and spa.
Children and teenagers will have their own dedicated spaces, while families traveling with younger passengers will also have access to supervised activities.
Cordelia Sky has a total of 1,002 staterooms, including 245 Mini Suites. The ship’s accommodation also comprises 429 Interior staterooms, 313 Ocean View staterooms, 11 Penthouse Suites and four Chairman’s Suites.
According to the cruise line, the Mini Suites provide passengers with additional space and private balconies. Guests choosing the higher-category suites can expect more spacious layouts as well as enhanced services. The Chairman’s Suites include separate bedroom, living and dining areas, together with private balconies featuring hot tubs. Guests staying in these suites will also receive dedicated butler and concierge services.
Cordelia Sky is set to be joined by another former Norwegian Cruise Line vessel in the future. Norwegian Sun will be renamed Cordelia Sun and is expected to begin offering cruises in India in late 2027.
