Disney Destiny and Dream Dock Together in Fort Lauderdale
Two ships from Disney Cruise Line, Disney Destiny and Disney Dream, made a joint call at their homeport in Fort Lauderdale earlier this month.
Port Everglades confirmed that the dual port visit took place on December 26, 2025, marking the first time this season that two Disney vessels sailed from the port on the same day. Disney Destiny was docked to begin a four-night cruise to the Bahamas, with scheduled stops in Nassau and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. At the same time, Disney Dream arrived to start a three-night Bahamas itinerary that also included calls at Nassau and Lookout Cay.
Currently in its inaugural season sailing from Fort Lauderdale, Disney Destiny welcomed its first revenue passengers at Port Everglades in November. The LNG-powered ship is a sister vessel to the Disney Wish, built in 2022, and the Disney Treasure, delivered in 2024. The Destiny was constructed at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany.
Following a naming ceremony that featured drone displays and large-scale projections on the ship, the 2,500-passenger vessel launched a series of four- and five-night cruises to the Bahamas and Caribbean.
Disney Dream returned to Fort Lauderdale in late 2024 after completing a summer deployment in Europe. The ship, which entered service in 2011, then began a year-round schedule of short cruises to the Bahamas and Caribbean from Port Everglades.
Both vessels feature itineraries that include visits to Disney’s private island destinations, such as Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
