Regional officials in Russia’s Krasnodar region reported on December 22 that a Ukrainian drone attack damaged two vessels and two piers, including part of a supply pipeline, at the Volna terminal in the Port of Taman on the Black Sea. Authorities stated that no oil pollution occurred.

The strike triggered a fire that spread across an area of roughly 1,500 square meters. Emergency crews were dispatched to contain and control the flames.

Crew members from the affected ships were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported. Two storage tanks were also damaged after being struck by falling debris.

According to updated information from the Krasnodar Krai administration’s press service, the fire on a tanker and one of the piers has been fully extinguished. Emergency teams continue to work on putting out the remaining fire along the fuel oil supply pipeline.
