Dream Cruises is bringing back its popular “Durian Party” on board the Genting Dream, with four short cruise getaways sailing from Singapore to Melaka, Malaysia.

The special two-night trips are scheduled to set sail on August 24 and 31, and September 7 and 14.

Michael Goh, president of StarDream Cruises, expressed his excitement: “We’re delighted to bring back the Durian Party, a uniquely Southeast Asian celebration, in a bigger and more exciting way. These cruises combine the rich flavours of Malaysia with fun-filled experiences that guests of all ages will love.”

According to a press release from the company, these voyages will include the “Eat-All-You-Can Premium Durian Buffet” package. Travelers will get the chance to indulge in some of Malaysia’s most sought-after durian types, such as Musang King, Black Thorn, Tan Sri XO, Red Prawn, and others. A variety of other tropical fruits will also be available.

A highlight of the experience is a 90-minute durian feast, followed by a leisurely walk along the iconic Jonker Street in Melaka. Round-trip coach transfers from the ICQS terminal to the buffet location are included in the SG$45 per person rate.

Durian fans will be especially excited to know that Edison Ang, one of Malaysia’s top durian influencers and content creators, will make guest appearances during selected events at the Melaka durian tasting.

Onboard entertainment and activities during the cruise will include:

  • Quizzes and games
  • Hands-on art sessions inspired by durians
  • Complimentary meals featuring global and Asian dishes
  • Live performances at the Zodiac Theatre
  • Outdoor movie nights under the stars
  • Water fun with slides, jacuzzis, rope courses, and climbing walls
  • Shopping, spa services, and entertainment options for every age group

These cruises offer a flavorful blend of cultural adventure, culinary indulgence, and family-friendly fun — all centered around Southeast Asia’s most beloved and controversial fruit.
