Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has revealed the winter season plans for its five-ship fleet, featuring an expansive selection of itineraries to destinations across the globe, including the Indian Ocean, Antarctica, the Arctic, and the North Atlantic.

In its latest press release, the company described the upcoming cruises as “tailored to every taste,” offering a blend of luxury escapes and adventurous expeditions.

Warm-Weather Luxury Voyages

For travelers seeking sun-drenched getaways in luxurious surroundings, the Europa and Europa 2 will be sailing to tropical regions such as the Indian Ocean, Bermuda, and the Caribbean.

The Europa will operate cruises exploring the Seychelles, Madagascar, Zanzibar, and Kenya. Guests will have the chance to engage in Zodiac excursions for a closer look at the local ecosystems. Highlights of these sailings include a performance by dancer and choreographer Jonny McMilan and the ship’s maiden call at Nosy Iranja.

Meanwhile, the Europa 2 departs New York City in mid-December for a ten-night cruise to Bermuda and the U.S. East Coast. The voyage is designed to blend cultural experiences with seaside relaxation—perfect for holiday celebrations.

The ship will also host a special 18-night festive cruise from New York to Colón, Panamá, encompassing both Christmas and New Year’s. This extended voyage allows guests to experience the Caribbean in ultimate comfort during the holidays.

Expedition Cruises to Remote Regions

Hapag-Lloyd’s trio of expedition vessels—Hanseatic Inspiration, Hanseatic Spirit, and Hanseatic Nature—will explore more rugged and remote destinations this winter.

The Hanseatic Inspiration is scheduled to spend the Advent season sailing through South America, visiting Patagonia and the Chilean Fjords before venturing to Antarctica.

The Hanseatic Spirit kicks off its season in the South Pacific with stops including Easter Island, then heads south to Antarctica. Key highlights include visits to the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, the Antarctic Peninsula, and the Weddell Sea.

The Hanseatic Nature will depart from Hamburg for a series of Arctic voyages to Norway and Lapland from November 2025 to March 2026. These itineraries are designed to showcase the magic of winter above the Arctic Circle, offering chances to see the Northern Lights and visit destinations like Bergen, Tromsø, Ålesund, and the Lofoten Islands.

Onboard programming will feature Classical Christmas concerts and Nordic-inspired hospitality to complement the seasonal atmosphere.

With this mix of luxury and exploration, Hapag-Lloyd’s winter season promises something for every type of traveler—from tropical escapes to icy expeditions.
