Icon of the Seas to Homeport in Galveston, Texas in 2027
Royal Caribbean International has announced that its flagship vessel, the *Icon of the Seas, will begin sailing from Galveston, Texas, starting in *August 2027.
The announcement was part of the cruise line’s broader 2027 deployment plan, which includes operations from ports in Texas, Los Angeles, New York/New Jersey, and Baltimore.
From Galveston, the Icon of the Seas will offer six- to eight-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, visiting destinations such as Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas, Roatan in Honduras, and Cozumel, where guests can enjoy the upcoming Royal Beach Club Cozumel.
Joining her in Galveston will be the Liberty of the Seas, which will launch four- to eight-night Caribbean sailings beginning in April 2027, and the Symphony of the Seas, also scheduled to offer four- to eight-night Caribbean voyages from Texas.
On the West Coast, the Ovation of the Seas and Navigator of the Seas will both sail from Los Angeles in 2027. The Ovation will focus on short itineraries, while the Navigator will operate a seven-night program.
In the Northeast, the Oasis of the Seas will reposition to Cape Liberty, New Jersey, in May 2027, offering seven-night cruises, while the Odyssey of the Seas will operate seven- and 12-night voyages from the same port. The Independence of the Seas will run four- to nine-night itineraries from Cape Liberty, and the Vision of the Seas will continue to sail from Baltimore.
With these deployments, Royal Caribbean strengthens its presence across major U.S. homeports, offering guests expanded opportunities to experience its newest and most iconic ships across both coasts.
