Majestic Princess Begins Atlantic Crossing to North America

The Majestic Princess recently departed from Southampton to begin a repositioning cruise across the Atlantic, heading for Canada and New England.
Setting sail on July 18, the Princess Cruises ship is currently on a 15-night journey that will conclude in Boston. Along the way, the cruise includes stops in Iceland and Canada, with port calls scheduled for Reykjavik, Isafjordur, and Grundarfjordur, followed by visits to Charlottetown, Sydney, and Halifax.
Once the ship arrives in Boston—its new seasonal homeport—it will launch its first fall foliage cruise program in the Canada and New England region. These seven-night roundtrip sailings will visit ports such as Portland, Halifax, Sydney, Eastport, and Saint John.
In September, the Majestic Princess is also set to operate open-jaw voyages between Quebec City and Boston, providing more variety for autumn travelers.
Following its East Coast deployment, the 141,000-gross-ton vessel will reposition to Fort Lauderdale to begin a series of Caribbean cruises.
Before arriving in Florida, the ship will sail a 14-night "Canada and Colonial America" itinerary, traveling between Quebec City and Port Everglades. This route includes stops in Saguenay, Charlottetown, Sydney, Halifax, Boston, New York City, Newport, and Norfolk.
For the winter 2025-26 season, the Royal-class ship will offer cruises lasting six to eight nights from Fort Lauderdale to destinations throughout the Western, Eastern, and Southern Caribbean.
Originally constructed at Fincantieri’s shipyard in 2017, the Majestic Princess was initially intended for the Chinese and Asian markets. Before starting its inaugural Mediterranean season earlier this year, the vessel underwent an extensive refurbishment in Italy.
The upgrade introduced a number of enhancements, including the addition of new venues like O’Malley’s Irish Pub and Bellini’s Cocktail Bar. The ship also received updated dining venues, such as the Ocean Terrace Sushi Bar, Alfredo’s Slice, and The Salty Dog Grill.
