Missile Strike at Odesa Port Damages Two Vessels

On 1st March, a Russian ballistic missile attack on the Port of Odesa in Ukraine resulted in damage to two commercial vessels and injured two port workers, who have since received medical care.
The strike affected two civilian vessels: the 147.81-meter-long Panama-flagged container ship MSC Levante F and the 170-meter-long Sierra Leone-flagged bulk carrier Super Sarkas. While the precise extent of the damage remains undisclosed, both vessels are reported to still be afloat.
Russian officials asserted that they believed one of the vessels was transporting arms for Ukrainian forces. However, Ukrainian authorities have denied this, stating that the vessel was carrying solely civilian cargo.
This incident brings the total number of civilian vessels damaged by Russian missile strikes on Ukrainian maritime infrastructure to 29, according to Ukrainian sources.
