The MSC Preziosa has recently embarked on a 14-night journey from Hamburg, marking the start of its summer cruise schedule. This voyage includes a highly anticipated stop at Longyearbyen, located on the island of Spitsbergen in the Svalbard archipelago. The call is scheduled for June 27, 2025, with passengers enjoying a full day ashore from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Stops Across Norway

In addition to Svalbard, the itinerary covers a selection of scenic Norwegian destinations. These include Bergen, Ålesund, Tromsø, Gravdal, Hammerfest, and Honningsvåg. From Honningsvåg, travelers have the chance to join tours to Nordkapp, the northernmost point on mainland Europe.

This cruise is part of MSC Preziosa’s broader Northern Europe deployment, which also features routes to the British Isles, Iceland, Scandinavia, and the majestic Norwegian fjords.

Upcoming Svalbard Return

The ship is slated to revisit Svalbard in August 2025 during another two-week itinerary that again includes northern Norway and the North Cape.

Pre-Summer Preparations

Prior to launching this season’s schedule, MSC Preziosa underwent scheduled maintenance in April 2025 at the Damen Shiprepair yard in Rotterdam. The shipyard visit included regular maintenance tasks, inspections, and updates to the vessel’s technical systems.

Shifting to South America for Winter

Later in 2025, MSC Preziosa will make its way to South America for a series of winter voyages. Operating alongside four other ships in the region, it will offer three- to eight-night cruises departing from Santos, Balneário Camboriú, and Buenos Aires, visiting destinations in Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay.

Back to Europe in 2026

The ship is expected to return to Northern Europe in late April 2026. Its future itineraries will feature both summer cruises from Germany and weeklong journeys around Western Europe with departures from ports in Germany, England, France, and the Netherlands.
