MSC Works With Airlines to Repatriate Guests
MSC Cruises said it is coordinating closely with airline partners in the Middle East, particularly Emirates and Etihad Airways, to arrange return travel for its guests.
“We are requesting priority for our guests from our partners. At present, airlines operating flights have indicated that they will follow an order of priority based on the original flight date,” MSC said in a statement.
The cruise line is also examining alternative solutions, including the possibility of charter flights departing from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or Muscat, in an effort to accelerate the repatriation process.
According to MSC, the company remains in ongoing communication with local authorities, embassies, and foreign ministries to assist guests in returning home.
Passengers onboard continue to receive regular updates, and MSC said the atmosphere onboard remains calm. Guests currently have full access to the ship’s services and facilities while arrangements are being made.
MSC also confirmed that sailings on the MSC Euribia, the company’s only vessel currently operating in the region, have been cancelled.
