Norwegian Cruise Line expanded its onboard accommodations by adding close to 50 new cabins across its fleet during multiple drydock sessions in early 2025.

Between January and May, four of the line’s ships underwent scheduled drydock maintenance, with three receiving additional staterooms as part of the upgrades.

Norwegian Bliss was the first vessel to gain new accommodations, entering drydock in January. Similar to modifications on other Breakaway-Plus class ships, a portion of the ship’s Observation Lounge was repurposed to make room for extra cabins.

The 2018-built cruise ship now includes 24 new balcony staterooms and two club balcony cabins. Additionally, enhancements were made to The Haven, where new three-bedroom Premier Owner’s Suites were introduced.

Pride of America also saw notable changes during its West Coast drydock. To free up space on Deck 12, the ship’s youth facilities were relocated. As a result, 12 new club balcony suites and three inside cabins were added to the 2005-built vessel.

Ahead of its summer season in Europe, Norwegian Epic was outfitted with eight additional staterooms. These included both balcony and inside options, mostly installed in space previously occupied by a portion of the fitness center and the kids club, both of which were reduced in size.

Norwegian Breakaway also entered drydock during this period, though no new cabins were added to the 2013-built ship.

The recent changes follow a similar project completed in 2024, when Norwegian Joy and Norwegian Encore each received around 50 new staterooms.

Summary of Norwegian’s 2025 Cabin Additions:

  • Norwegian Bliss – 26 cabins added
  • Pride of America – 15 cabins added
  • Norwegian Epic – 8 cabins added
  • Norwegian Breakaway – No new cabins added
