Royal Caribbean wrapped up 2025 by shifting focus to its own workforce, sharing a holiday message that recognized the crew members who keep the company’s operations moving year round.

In its year end communication, the cruise line offered warm holiday greetings to team members both onboard and at home. The message acknowledged that many crew spend the festive season working at sea and highlighted the importance of the “onboard family,” a term the company often uses to describe the strong relationships formed among colleagues.

The note also reflected on what Royal Caribbean called an “extraordinary” year. Key milestones in 2025 included the introduction of the Star of the Seas, one of the fleet’s most anticipated new ships, and the debut of the company’s first Royal Beach Club℠, a new shoreside destination concept.

Royal Caribbean credited its crew for contributing to these achievements, noting that industry recognition — such as multiple Travel Weekly awards — is a direct result of the team’s dedication to upholding the brand’s “ROYAL Way” culture.

As part of its holiday gesture, the cruise line encouraged participation in festive shipboard events and announced complimentary Wi-Fi and WhatsApp Voice access to help crew stay in touch with family and friends. More information, the company said, would be available through onboard digital screens.

To help crew connect with family, Royal Caribbean offered the following:

  • From Dec. 23 to Jan. 1, complimentary Wi-Fi nightly from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am
  • From Dec. 23 (11:00 pm) to Jan. 1 (11:00 pm), free WhatsApp Voice available all day
