Seabourn Announces Speakers for Quest's 2027 World Cruise

Seabourn has unveiled the lineup of guest speakers who will join SeabournQuest as part of its Seabourn Conversations program during the 2027 World Cruise.

According to a press release, the 145-day voyage will depart Miami on January 5, 2027, visiting 67 destinations across 19 countries in regions including the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, and South America.

Through the Seabourn Conversations program, guests will have the opportunity to engage with a range of storytellers, explorers, and experts who will share insights designed to enhance the travel experience.

“Seabourn Conversations is one of the most meaningful ways we bring the world on board,” said Joe Chantry, Seabourn’s vice president of entertainment.

“Our 2027 World Cruise presents the perfect stage for guests to engage with extraordinary individuals who have shaped industries, scaled summits, and deepened our understanding of the world. Their stories will add another dimension of discovery to an already unforgettable Seabourn experience.”

Guest Speakers and Cruise Segments

The 2027 program will feature a diverse group of speakers joining different legs of the journey:

62 Days: Panama Canal, Polynesia and New Zealand

  • Flight Lieutenant Mandy Hickson, a former fighter pilot and author of “An Officer, Not a Gentleman,” will join from January 5 to 16 (Miami to Lima).

35 Days: Panama Canal Crossing and Polynesia

  • Joey Evans, an off-road motorcycle racer and bestselling author who has competed in more than 50 countries, will be onboard from January 16 to 27 (Lima to Easter Island).
  • After becoming paralyzed from the chest down in 2007, Evans relearned how to walk and ride, eventually achieving his goal of competing in the Dakar Rally.

23 Days: South Pacific Explorer

  • Adam Radcliffe, an adventurer and coach who has undertaken challenges on every continent, will join the January 27 to February 9 segment (Easter Island to Papeete).

27 Days: South Pacific Isles and New Zealand

  • Sir Peter Hillary, a mountaineer with over 50 expeditions worldwide and extensive humanitarian work in Nepal, will be onboard from February 22 to March 3 (Auckland to Sydney).

83 Days: Australia In-depth and Panama Canal

  • Li Cunxin, a former ballet dancer whose autobiography “Mao’s Last Dancer” became an award-winning film, will join from March 9 to 16 (Sydney to Fremantle).
  • Mary Li, a ballet teacher and coach for The Australian Ballet, whose story is told in “Mary’s Last Dance,” will also be onboard during this segment.

27 Days: South Pacific Explorer and Hawaii

  • Paul Massey, a multi-Emmy award-winning sound producer and Academy Award winner for “Bohemian Rhapsody,” will join from April 24 to May 11 (Brisbane to Long Beach).

126 Days: Australia and South Pacific Panorama

  • Dr. Mireya Mayor, described as “The Female Indiana Jones” by The New York Times, is a primatologist, explorer, author, and Emmy Award-nominated TV host. She will be onboard from May 22 to 30 (Long Beach to Miami).

With a varied group of speakers joining throughout the journey, the Seabourn Conversations program aims to offer guests deeper insight into the destinations they visit, as well as inspiration from a range of professional and personal experiences.

By combining travel with expert-led discussions, the 2027 World Cruise is designed to deliver a more immersive and enriching experience at sea.
