Search Underway for Missing U.S. Tourist in St. Martin
Authorities in St. Martin are appealing to the public for assistance after a U.S. tourist went missing during a shore excursion last week.
The Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM) launched a full island search for 55 year old Ann Evans, a passenger aboard Holland America Line’s Rotterdam, after she did not return from an organized tour on November 20, 2025.
According to police, Evans left the ship in Philipsburg at about 10:00 a.m. to take part in a scheduled island tour. During the excursion, she got off the bus in Marigot, on the French side of the island, and did not return to the group or to the ship.
KPSM said officers began searching the area as soon as the missing person report was filed. French authorities are assisting, extending the search across both the Dutch and French sides of Saint Martin.
Officials urged anyone who may have seen Evans in Marigot or elsewhere on the island to contact authorities. They also issued a message addressed to Evans herself, asking her to reach out to police or her family to confirm she is safe.
The Rotterdam is currently operating a 21 day Southern and Eastern Caribbean cruise that began on November 7, 2025 and is due to conclude on November 28, 2025. The vessel was docked in Port St. Maarten when Evans joined the excursion.
