TUI Cruises Seeks Godmother for Mein Schiff Flow
TUI Cruises has unveiled a new campaign inviting women to apply for the role of godmother for its upcoming vessel, Mein Schiff Flow, which is scheduled to enter service in 2026. The cruise line is encouraging loyal Mein Schiff guests to share their personal stories for the chance to officially name and christen the new ship.
The christening of a ship is one of the most enduring traditions in maritime culture. For centuries, a godmother has held the ceremonial responsibility of naming the vessel and symbolically wishing it safe passage and prosperity.
Through this initiative, TUI Cruises is offering one selected woman the opportunity to take part in that tradition. The chosen godmother will lead the official christening ceremony for Mein Schiff Flow and become permanently linked to the ship’s legacy.
Applicants must have previously sailed on a Mein Schiff cruise and demonstrate a genuine bond with the brand. TUI Cruises is seeking someone who embodies the “Mein Schiff feeling”—a guest who enjoys discovering new places, values travel experiences, and can share a meaningful story connected to time spent at sea.
Mein Schiff Flow is expected to offer memorable moments, from tranquil sunrises viewed from the deck to relaxed evenings under open skies. The vessel will introduce new features and comfort-focused enhancements aimed at further elevating the onboard experience.
Application Details
The deadline to apply is March 16, 2026. To enter, candidates must submit:
- A 60 to 120 second video sharing their personal Mein Schiff story
- Three recent photos, including both a portrait and a full-length image
- A short written explanation outlining why they should be selected as godmother
Applicants must also have a Mein Schiff account. After submissions close, TUI Cruises, together with the Mein Schiff community, will take part in selecting the winner.
