In a creative twist for an industry normally focused on stacking boxes for practicality rather than decoration, the UK’s Cuboid Self Storage has constructed what it says is the world’s largest advent calendar made entirely from shipping containers.

The company arranged dozens of containers into a towering, Christmas-themed structure, with each “door” incorporated into the front of a unit, turning standard teu boxes into a festive countdown installation. The display has attracted significant interest from the local community.

Each day of Advent, Cuboid is opening one door and donating a container filled with gifts to families and local organizations most in need.

Laura Charlton, regional charity manager at Mission Christmas, said: “So much more than just an advent calendar, this festive campaign is a daily reminder that Christmas should be magical for every child. We genuinely believe that Cuboid has helped us to save Christmas for thousands of families across Lancashire with their incredible donation.”
