During Viking’s Q1 2025 earnings call, Chairman and CEO Torstein Hagen announced that the cruise line has nearly sold out its 2025 sailings and is now turning its attention to the 2026 season. As of May 11, 2025, Viking had already secured bookings for 37 percent of its core capacity for 2026.

“As we mentioned in the past, our bookings are very sticky. So, with the current season effectively done, and with more than 37 percent of the 2026 capacity already booked, we are in a great position,” said Hagen. “We have plenty of time to complete the 2026 season.”

Hagen highlighted that this early booking figure for 2026 represents an 11 percent increase compared to where the company stood at the same time for the 2025 season.

Executives also emphasized that few companies can claim to have over a third of the following year’s capacity already reserved by May, a sign of Viking’s continued strong market demand and loyal customer base.
