AIDAprima to Sail New Winter Routes from Germany in 2025

AIDA Cruises has revealed a refreshed winter 2025-26 schedule for the AIDAprima, featuring a series of new itineraries departing from Hamburg and Kiel, Germany. These newly introduced sailings replace the ship’s previously planned program in the Middle East.
Culturally Rich and Nature-Oriented Itineraries
In a statement, AIDA Cruises highlighted that the updated cruise offerings are tailored to suit both travelers looking for relaxation and those seeking a more active vacation. Among the most anticipated routes are the “Norway’s World Heritage” journey and the classic metropolitan itinerary from Hamburg.
Additionally, short cruises will be available from both Hamburg and Kiel beginning in November 2025. These include a series of Advent-themed sailings departing from Kiel in the lead-up to Christmas, with highlights such as a port call in Riga during its annual light festival, Staro Riga. Guests can expect festive programming and traditional holiday treats on board.
Expanded Holiday and Warm-Weather Sailings
The AIDAprima will also operate seven- and eight-day voyages, which can be combined with stops in destinations such as Copenhagen, Gothenburg, and Oslo. For guests looking to escape the cold, a special 23-day voyage titled the “Great Winter Break Canary Islands” will depart from Kiel and head south to the Canary Islands. The itinerary includes stops in Madeira, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, and Lisbon, with excursions to iconic locations such as Timanfaya National Park in Lanzarote and Pico del Teide.
Spring Special Events in Focus
Come March 2026, the cruise line plans to spotlight major regional events. Notable among these are the Biathlon World Cup in Oslo and the famous Holmenkollen Ski Festival, providing passengers with unique opportunities to experience these sporting traditions.
AIDA Cruises’ revised winter deployment promises a diverse range of cultural, festive, and nature-focused experiences while maintaining the convenience of departures from German ports.
