Bodrum Cruise Port Ends Record-Breaking 2025 Season
Bodrum Cruise Port, managed by Global Ports Holding, has wrapped up its cruise season after welcoming 116 ship calls and 138,149 passengers—a record-breaking number for the destination.
The port emphasized that it has further solidified its reputation as one of Türkiye’s top cruise hubs, earning recognition for its dedication to sustainability and local community engagement.
East Med Regional Director of Global Ports Holding, Aziz Gungor, stated: “This has been an outstanding season for Bodrum Cruise Port, both in terms of operational success and social impact.”
“We are proud to see Bodrum recognized internationally for its sustainability efforts, and we remain committed to developing projects that benefit both our community and the environment,” Gungor added.
According to the port’s press release, several cruise lines contributed to the strong season. Aroya Cruises conducted overnight stays, while Virgin Voyages’ Resilient Lady and Marella Cruises’ Marella Discovery 2 both made calls at Bodrum. In the luxury cruise sector, the port welcomed Evrima, Ilma and Luminara from the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, along with Silversea’s Silver Muse and Silver Whisper.
Bodrum Cruise Port also celebrated the completion of its 2025 social responsibility program, “One Day. One Ship. One Future.,” created in partnership with Marella Cruises.
Throughout the year, the project invited high school students to participate in:
- Exploration activities
- A beach clean-up
- A guided port tour
- A ship visit
The initiative, supported by Bodrum Sea Rescue, aimed to promote marine conservation and encourage young people to pursue careers in the maritime industry.
The statement concluded by describing Bodrum as one of Türkiye’s most iconic coastal destinations, renowned for its cultural richness, historical legacy and cosmopolitan charm. Once known as the ancient city of Halicarnassus, Bodrum continues to attract global attention as a vibrant maritime gateway.
