On September 22, the Panama-flagged general cargo vessel Storm I suffered an engine failure and was left drifting in the Bay of Biscay near the Ferrol estuary in Spain. Authorities confirmed there were no injuries or signs of marine pollution.
After losing propulsion, the vessel requested help from Spain’s maritime safety and rescue agency. Three tugs - María de Maeztu, Ibaizabal Cinco, and Punta Redonda Uno - responded and towed the ship to the outer port of Caneliñas.
Once docked, the crew carried out necessary repairs, allowing the Storm I to resume its planned voyage.
