The Costa Diadema and MSC Seaview are en route to Brazil, where they will operate as floating hotels during a United Nations conference in Belém do Pará.
Chartered by the Brazilian government, both ships will accommodate participants attending the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP 30), taking place from November 10 to 21, 2025.
The vessels will dock at a newly constructed cruise terminal at Porto do Outeiro, developed specifically for the high-profile event.
After completing its autumn season in the Mediterranean, the Costa Diadema departed Savona, Italy, on October 24, 2025, beginning its repositioning voyage to Brazil. The 2014-built ship, sailing without passengers, is scheduled to arrive in Belém on November 4, 2025.

Once their temporary role as accommodation ships concludes, both vessels will reposition to Santos, where they will resume regular itineraries. The Costa Diadema will operate seven-night cruises to Argentina and Uruguay, while the MSC Seaview will offer weeklong voyages along Brazil’s Northeast coast.
