The Disney Treasure has wrapped up its first full year sailing for Disney Cruise Line, following its handover on October 24, 2024.

As the second vessel in the Wish class, the LNG-powered ship was constructed at the Meyer Werft yard in Papenburg, Germany.

Shortly after delivery, the Treasure made a technical stop in Madeira, Portugal, before crossing the Atlantic en route to North America. By mid-November, the ship reached Port Canaveral to begin a lineup of pre-inaugural activities and celebrations.

Later that month, the vessel was officially christened during a special event held at the port of New York City. The ceremony included a synchronized display of 1,000 drones performing to a selection of Disney music. A lightshow was also part of the festivities, showcasing Disney adventures featured on the vessel, with scenes from Aladdin, Haunted Mansion, Moana and Coco.

In late December, the Treasure began sailing from Port Canaveral on a year-round program of Caribbean cruises. Taking over the schedule previously operated by the Disney Fantasy, the ship launched a series of seven-night sailings that include stops in the Bahamas.

These itineraries continue today and feature a variety of ports such as Cozumel in Mexico, Falmouth in Jamaica, Tortola in the British Virgin Islands and George Town in the Cayman Islands. Every cruise also includes a call at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.

Disney notes that the Treasure was created to showcase both new and well-loved experiences inspired by Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and popular Disney Parks attractions. Among the ship’s new additions are the Scat Cat Lounge, styled as a classic jazz club, and Plaza de Coco, a cinematic dining venue influenced by the Pixar film Coco.
