Emerald Opens Bookings for 2026-27 Mekong Season
Emerald Cruises & Tours has opened reservations for its 2026-2027 Southeast Asia river cruise season, according to a company press release. The new program features voyages along the Mekong River through Vietnam and Cambodia, combined with land-based touring options in Laos and Japan.
“Emerald Cruises and Tours’ Southeast Asia collection offers travelers an effortless way to explore one of the world’s most captivating regions in style,” said Ken Muskat, president of Scenic Group USA/LATAM.
“With thoughtfully designed itineraries and the comfort of intimate ship luxury, guests can experience the authentic beauty, culture and spirit of Southeast Asia like never before.”
Travelers can choose from up to 17 curated itineraries, ranging from the new 11-day Enchanting Mekong and Siem Reap cruise and tour to the expanded 26-day Wonders of Japan, Vietnam and Cambodia journey.
The Emerald Harmony, which accommodates up to 84 guests, will serve as the featured vessel. The ship is able to sail directly into central Ho Chi Minh City.
Emerald offers two Mekong cruising options: an eight-day itinerary and a 10-day green season voyage. The green season sailing provides additional daytime cruising and a deeper focus on destinations in Cambodia.
Cruise fares include all meals onboard as well as beverages served during lunch and dinner, plus guided excursions and cultural programming throughout the journey.
Highlighted experiences include an Apsara dance performance in Siem Reap, sunrise visits to Angkor Wat, a monk blessing, and a Buddhist temple ceremony.
Guests can also explore Gieng Island, including stops at an incense-making workshop and a traditional sampan-building yard, along with guided visits to UNESCO-designated landmarks and local markets.
For those seeking extra activities, Emerald’s DiscoverMORE program offers optional add-ons such as cooking classes in Hoi An and silk weaving workshops in Laos, available for an additional cost.
Key itineraries in the season include the eight-day Majestic Mekong Cruise, the 10-day Meandering Majestic Mekong Cruise, the 24-day Grand Tour of Indochina, and the 26-day Wonders of Japan, Vietnam and Cambodia.
