Holland America Line has revealed an expanded collaboration with the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center (AWCC), introducing new onboard experiences for its 2025 Alaska cruise season aimed at supporting wildlife conservation.

As part of the initiative, guests will enjoy activities that both enhance their cruise experience and raise awareness for Alaska’s wildlife. The program kicks off with the launch of Harry & David’s Moose Munch Premium Popcorn across all Alaska itineraries. For every sale, 3% of net proceeds will be donated to AWCC. The milk chocolate popcorn will be available at the Grand Dutch Café, Crow’s Nest Café, and at the Library Café on select ships.

In addition, two specially crafted cocktails will be offered exclusively on Alaska cruises, with $1 from each drink benefiting AWCC. These include the “Grizzly Bear Hugo’s Spritz,” a refreshing blend of St-Germain, Ca’Marian Prosecco, and soda water, and the “Pip & Jo’s Moscow Moose,” a creative twist on the Moscow Mule featuring Sazerac Rye, ginger beer, grapefruit juice, and Disaronno Amaretto.

This announcement builds on Holland America’s recent launch of Eland, a plush moose toy available in onboard shops and at the Holland America Denali Lodge, with $2 from each sale going toward AWCC’s efforts.

“We’re delighted to offer more experiences that allow our guests to not only enjoy while onboard in Alaska but that also contribute towards something guests are passionate about in Alaska: wildlife,” said Michael Smith, senior vice president of guest experience and product development for Holland America Line.

“As a brand that has been cruising to Alaska for more than 75 years, it is a testament to our leadership in this region that allows us to provide more opportunities for guests to see wildlife while in Alaska and have the privilege to work with such esteemed organizations like the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center to do so,” Smith added.

Guests sailing on Alaska itineraries that include stops in Anchorage or Whittier can also book shore excursions to the AWCC. Options include:

  • Exclusive Reindeer Encounter with Airport or Downtown Transfer
  • Portage Glacier Cruise and Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center for in-transit guests in Anchorage
  • Turnagain Arm, Wildlife Conservation Center, and Alyeska Tram with Airport Transfer for passengers disembarking in Whittier
