The Showtime Theater aboard the Carnival Magic, which seats 1,500, recently underwent an enhancement with the installation of new lighting equipment. This update included 30 Robe PAINTE moving lights, 30 LEDBeam 350s, and 12 miniPointe lights.

These upgrades were implemented while the cruise ship continued its operations near Miami.

Carnival Cruise Line’s fleet supervisor for lighting, Silviu Ardelean, along with lighting manager Alexander Nelson, oversaw the replacement of the old moving lights.

Ardelean expressed confidence in the longevity of the new installations, stating, “We believe the PAINTE will be good for at least 10 years.”

The retrofit took place across decks 3, 4, and 5, where the Showtime Theater is situated. This area is the principal hub for the ship's entertainment offerings. The upgrade was executed to refresh the theater's lighting setup while preserving the essence and aesthetic of the original design.
