Live Ship Schedule launched by Port of San Diego
The Port of San Diego has introduced a new online schedule for cargo and cruise vessels.
Known as PortControl, the real-time platform lets users check cargo ship arrival and departure times, see which vessels are currently in port, and view upcoming cruise ship schedules.
According to a press release, the tool is designed to improve safety, transparency, and public understanding of the daily maritime operations taking place at the Port of San Diego. The added visibility is also expected to help reduce the risk of scheduling conflicts with local marine events.
As the fourth-largest port in California, the Port of San Diego said the platform will also provide greater insight into the region’s role in tourism, international trade, and the movement of goods and passengers worldwide.
