Royal Caribbean International has announced a change to the itinerary of an upcoming cruise aboard Symphony of the Seas, citing the need to comply with safe speed requirements.

In a notice sent to booked guests, the cruise line said the update applies to the sailing departing PortMiami on February 15, 2026.

“As part of our ongoing itinerary planning process, we’ve modified our upcoming sailing. To maintain smooth sailing and comply with safe speed restrictions during our cruise, we’ve adjusted our departure time from Nassau,” the company said.

All other ports and itinerary details will remain unchanged. However, Symphony of the Seas will now leave Nassau at 4:30 PM rather than the previously scheduled 6:00 PM departure. Royal Caribbean said its shore excursion team will automatically adjust any pre-paid tours booked through the cruise line that are impacted by the revised schedule.

“Any tour that can’t be reaccommodated will be cancelled and refunded to your original form of payment within 14 business days,” the company added.

The cruise line also reminded guests that shore excursions can be booked through the “My Royal Cruise” website and mobile app.

The seven-night Eastern Caribbean itinerary includes calls in St. Maarten and St. Thomas. Along with Nassau, the cruise will visit Philipsburg and Charlotte Amalie and feature three full sea days.

“We’re sorry for the inconvenience this may cause,” Royal Caribbean said in the statement, which was signed by Aurora Yera-Rodriguez, the company’s AVP of Guest Experiences.

Currently sailing from PortMiami for the winter season, Symphony of the Seas is offering a series of weeklong cruises to destinations throughout the Caribbean and the Bahamas. In early May, the Oasis-class ship is scheduled to reposition to Galveston, where it will operate year-round cruises to the Western Caribbean and Mexico.
