Three Cruise Ships Make Maiden Calls at Nassau Cruise Port
Nassau Cruise Port reported that MSC Grandiosa, Oceania Allura and SevenSeasGrandeur all made their first-ever visits to the destination in December.
Sailing its inaugural season from Port Canaveral, MSC Grandiosa arrived in Nassau for its maiden call on December 7, 2025. The occasion was celebrated with a plaque exchange attended by the ship’s captain, Danilo Cha, and Nassau Cruise Port Operations Coordinator Autria Bethel.
A few days later, Oceania Cruises’ newest vessel, Allura, also called at Nassau for the first time and was welcomed with a similar plaque-exchanging ceremony. During the event, the ship’s captain, Pavle Silic, exchanged commemorative gifts with Nassau Port Coordinator Tucker Maura.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ Seven Seas Grandeur followed with its inaugural visit on December 10, 2025, hosting port officials onboard for another ceremonial plaque exchange. Captain Luciano Montesanto welcomed representatives from Nassau Cruise Port, including Marketing and Communications Coordinator Ashley Darville, Operations Coordinator Tucker Maura and Assistant Events Manager Iesha Rolle.
Nassau Cruise Port said the series of maiden calls reflects “strong momentum heading into 2026 and reaffirm the growing appeal of the destination across multiple cruise segments, particularly the luxury market.”
Looking ahead, Seven Seas Grandeur is scheduled to return to Nassau twice in 2026, with calls planned for March and December. OceaniaAllura is set to make one additional visit in early April 2026, while MSC Grandiosa will continue to call at the port on a regular basis.
Operating its ongoing seven-night cruises to the Caribbean and the Bahamas, the MSC Cruises ship is expected to make a total of 22 visits to Nassau through December 2026.
