Carnival Expands its Fun Italian Style Cruises in 2027
Carnival Cruise Line plans to extend its “Fun Italian Style” offering to additional ports and regions in 2027 as part of updated fleet deployment plans.
Launched in 2023, the concept is currently featured on Carnival Venezia and Carnival Firenze, combining Italian-inspired design and experiences with Carnival’s traditional onboard entertainment and service.
Carnival Firenze, which presently sails year-round from Long Beach, will undergo the most significant changes in 2027, shifting its operations from California to South America, the Caribbean, and the U.S. Northeast. Following its final voyage from the Los Angeles area in early January, the ship will begin a series of repositioning cruises to South America.
These 14- to 16-night sailings will call at ports across Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil. After making its Florida debut, the 2021-built vessel is scheduled to arrive in Miami for a spring season starting in late February.
Operating in the region for the first time, Carnival Firenze will offer four- to 13-night itineraries to the Western, Eastern, and Southern Caribbean, as well as the Bahamas. The deployment continues until mid-May, when the 4,232-passenger ship is set to relocate to New York City for the summer season.
While specific itineraries have not yet been released, the ship is expected to sail to destinations in the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Bermuda, and Canada.
Carnival Venezia will also change homeports in 2027 after several years of service from New York City and Port Canaveral. After completing its winter season from Central Florida, the 2019-built ship is scheduled to move to Miami.
Venezia will begin year-round operations from the port in late May, offering a lineup of six- and eight-night cruises to the Western, Southern, and Eastern Caribbean.
Originally constructed for Costa Cruises, Carnival Firenze and Carnival Venezia joined the Carnival Cruise Line fleet in 2023 and 2024, respectively. Featuring designs similar to Carnival’s Vista-class ships, both vessels showcase interiors inspired by the Italian cities of Florence and Venice.
