Costa Toscana is currently sailing in the Western Mediterranean following a scheduled drydock earlier this year at the Chantier Naval de Marseille shipyard in France.

The maintenance period lasted two weeks and was completed in mid-February as part of the vessel’s regular service schedule. Alongside routine upkeep, the work included technical upgrades and required class inspections.

After completing the shipyard work, Costa Toscana welcomed passengers again on February 15, 2026, beginning a series of seven-night cruises visiting destinations across Spain, France, and Italy.

The ship operates from several homeports and follows an itinerary that includes a stop in Cagliari on the island of Sardinia. Additional ports visited during the voyage include Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Naples, and Civitavecchia, the gateway port for Rome.

As part of its ongoing European deployment, the 5,224-passenger vessel will continue operating in the Western Mediterranean until November 2027.

Beginning in May, the ship switches to a different seven-night route that also includes calls in Tunisia and Sicily. Along with Barcelona, Marseille, Civitavecchia, and Savona, these itineraries include stops in Palermo and La Goulette.

Originally, Costa Toscana had been scheduled to operate in the Middle East during the 2025–26 winter season. The LNG-powered ship was planned to run a series of seven-night cruises visiting ports in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Oman.

However, Costa Cruises cancelled those plans in July 2025 due to uncertainty and security concerns in the region. Instead, the vessel was redeployed to operate cruises in the Western Mediterranean and North Africa.

The decision followed a similar move by fellow Carnival Corporation brand AIDA Cruises, which also cancelled its planned 2025–26 sailings in the Arabian Gulf.

Costa currently intends to return to the region for the 2026–27 winter season, with Costa Smeralda scheduled to operate the program.
