The Discovery Princess made its first-ever visit to Singapore earlier this week, docking at Marina Bay Cruise Centre on October 28, 2025.

According to a press release, the Princess Cruises ship’s maiden call was celebrated with a traditional plaque exchange ceremony attended by Captain Tony Ruggero, along with representatives from Marina Bay Cruise Centre, the Singapore Tourism Board, and Wallem Shipping.

More than 50 travel advisors from Singapore were invited to join the event, which included a ship tour and hosted lunch. Princess Cruises will hold similar ceremonies and events for travel partners during the ship’s inaugural visits to Port Klang and Penang.

Following the ceremony, the Discovery Princess embarked on a five-night roundtrip voyage from Singapore, featuring stops at three Malaysian ports: Port Klang, Penang, and Langkawi.

After wrapping up its Southeast Asia debut, the vessel will continue south to Australia, where it will begin its first homeporting season in Sydney on December 6, 2025. The season will feature over 20 itineraries visiting destinations across Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific—coinciding with Princess Cruises’ 50th anniversary in Australia.

While the Discovery Princess heads for Sydney, Singapore is also set to host the Diamond Princess for its 2025–26 homeporting season. The ship will offer a range of sailings to Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand between December 2025 and February 2026, calling at destinations including Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Halong Bay, Langkawi, Penang, Ko Samui, and Bangkok. One itinerary will also include Cambodia, offering guests the opportunity to visit Angkor Wat.

The season in Singapore will be further highlighted by the arrival of the Crown Princess, which is scheduled to make its debut call in November 2025.
