Holland America Wraps Up Alaska Season and Looks Ahead

Holland America Line has shared highlights from its recently completed Alaska cruise season, releasing new figures that showcase the line’s regional focus and community engagement.
In a press release, the company reported that its ships operated 113 cruises across the region, offering guests a deep dive into Alaska’s cuisine and culture through a variety of onboard and onshore experiences.
Celebrating Alaska’s Regional Flavors
Over the course of the season, guests enjoyed more than 130 Alaska Brunches, featuring local ingredients and recipes inspired by the state’s culinary traditions. In total, Holland America served 125,000 pounds of fresh, sustainable Alaska seafood, all certified and traceable to small, family-run fishing operations.
Another fan favorite was the company’s signature Dutch Pea Soup, with 85,000 cups served on deck as passengers admired Alaska’s dramatic glaciers and coastal landscapes.
Community Support and Sustainable Practices
Holland America emphasized that its commitment to Alaska extends beyond cruising, highlighting its donations to nonprofit organizations throughout the state. These initiatives, the company said, reflect its long-standing connection to Alaska’s people, environment, and economy.
Looking Forward to 2026
With the 2025 season now on the horizon, Holland America is already preparing for an expanded Alaska program in 2026. The line will deploy six ships, including the Koningsdam, Eurodam, and Nieuw Statendam, operating a variety of itineraries designed to provide “more choice and flexibility than ever before.”
The schedule will feature roundtrip voyages from Seattle and Vancouver, as well as open-jaw sailings between Whittier and Vancouver, allowing guests to explore more of Alaska’s coastline and interior.
New and Returning Voyages
Among the upcoming highlights is the new 14-day Great Alaska Explorer, alongside the return of the 28-day Arctic Circle Solstice Cruise, a favorite among adventure seekers.
“From breathtaking glaciers to vibrant port communities, the upcoming season offers something for every traveler seeking the ultimate Alaska adventure,” the company said in its statement.
Extended Cruisetours and Lodge Upgrades
For those looking to explore further inland, Holland America’s 2026 Cruisetours will combine cruising with overland exploration in Denali National Park and the Yukon.
These extended journeys will range from nine to 18 days and include overnight stays at the Holland America Denali Lodge, located at the gateway to the national park. The lodge is currently undergoing a $70 million renovation, adding refreshed public areas and modernized guest accommodations to enhance the overall guest experience.
With its combination of authentic regional cuisine, community partnerships, and new itineraries, Holland America Line continues to strengthen its reputation as a leader in Alaska cruising, offering travelers an immersive experience that celebrates the spirit of the Last Frontier.
