MSC Preziosa Launches 2025-26 Cruise Season In Santos
The MSC Preziosa officially kicked off the 2025–2026 cruise season at the Port of Santos, Brazil, on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
After completing a transatlantic voyage from Germany, the vessel not only marked the start of operations in Santos but also the beginning of the national cruise season in Brazil.
The Preziosa is the first of seven ships from MSC Cruises and Costa Cruises scheduled to sail from Brazilian ports this season. Its inaugural itinerary was a three-night voyage featuring a call at Búzios before returning to Santos.
Throughout the 2025–2026 season, the ship will operate both short coastal getaways and weeklong cruises to Argentina and Uruguay. Scheduled ports of call include Angra dos Reis, Ilha Grande, Buenos Aires, Punta del Este, and Balneário Camboriú.
To celebrate the start of the season, MSC Cruises partnered with Santos City Hall to host a public event at the Ponta da Praia waterfront. The festivities featured live performances, cultural presentations, and a light display as the Preziosa departed, accompanied by local boats.
“We wanted to offer a unique experience, combining entertainment and culture, highlighting Santos as a welcoming and vibrant destination for tourists and residents,” said the town’s Secretary of Tourism, Thiago Papa.
This season, the Port of Santos is set to welcome 14 cruise ships, including regular visits from the Costa Favolosa, Costa Diadema, MSC Sinfonia, and MSC Seaview. The season will continue through late April, with more than 130 expected cruise calls at the Concais Cruise Terminal.
In addition to MSC and Costa vessels, Santos will also host premium and luxury lines such as Oceania Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Azamara, and Celebrity Cruises. Highlights include AIDAmar’s return to Santos with AIDA Cruises after a 10-year break and Peace Boat’s first-ever call to the port with the Pacific World.
