Norwegian Cruise Line is gradually discontinuing printed versions of its onboard daily program, the Freestyle Daily, according to reports from guests on social media.

Passengers recently sailing with the line noted that paper copies of the newsletter are no longer being automatically delivered to staterooms. Instead, guests are being encouraged to access the digital version via their mobile devices, which provides the next day’s schedule of activities, entertainment, and events.

On some ships, the daily program can also be viewed on interactive stateroom TVs. Norwegian’s website still describes the Freestyle Daily as an evening-delivered printed newsletter, but guests say copies are now only available upon request or for pickup at select onboard locations.

This update follows a series of other onboard policy changes by the cruise line. Earlier this year, Norwegian introduced a $10 per-person fee for guests who fail to show up or arrive more than 15 minutes late to specialty restaurant reservations. It also added a $5 charge for each additional entrée ordered in the main dining rooms.

Additionally, starting March 1, 2026, Norwegian’s beverage packages will no longer be valid on its private Bahamian island, Great Stirrup Cay. The cruise line plans to introduce a new, optional island-specific beverage package instead. Complimentary options such as water, iced tea, and juice will continue to be available, the company confirmed in a statement to travel advisors.
