Norwegian Jewel Begins Europe Season Before Drydock

The Norwegian Jewel arrived in Europe on September 14, 2025, completing a transatlantic voyage that concluded in Southampton.
The 16-night repositioning cruise departed Canada and included calls in Iceland, Northern Ireland, Ireland, and France before reaching England.
Ahead of a scheduled drydock later this month, the ship is now operating an 11-night sailing from Southampton to Barcelona. The itinerary features stops in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Portugal, and Spain, with highlights including Leixões, Ibiza, Málaga, Palma de Mallorca, and Le Havre.
Following this voyage, the Norwegian Jewel will head to a European shipyard for its refit. In addition to technical maintenance, upgrades will be made to several public spaces.
One of the new amenities set to debut is the adults-only Vibe Beach Club. Located on a separate sundeck away from the main pool, the area will feature a hot tub, 54 premium loungers, and seven private cabanas.
Once its yard stay is complete, the 2,400-guest ship will reposition to North America. Departing from PortMiami, it will spend the 2025-26 winter season sailing four- to 11-night itineraries to the Bahamas, the Panama Canal, and the Southern Caribbean. These cruises will include stops at Norwegian’s private island, Great Stirrup Cay, as well as less-frequented destinations such as Puerto Limón, Costa Rica.
Built by Meyer Werft in Germany, the Norwegian Jewel celebrated 20 years in service earlier this year. The 93,000-ton vessel was the first of Norwegian Cruise Line’s Jewel-class ships, followed by the Norwegian Pearl, Norwegian Jade, and Norwegian Gem.
