Queen Elizabeth Begins First Alaskan Season from Seattle

June 12th marked the first arrival of Cunard’s recently updated Queen Elizabeth at the Port of Seattle, launching her inaugural homeport season in the city. The vessel is set to operate a series of Alaskan cruises through the summer.
“Historic grandeur, refined elegance, bespoke experiences and unparalleled personal service are cornerstones of a Cunard voyage,” said Liz Fettes, Cunard’s senior vice president of commercial for North America.
Steve Metruck, Executive Director of the Port of Seattle, added, “The Port of Seattle is honored to welcome Cunard and the iconic Queen Elizabeth for their first homeported season in Seattle.” He continued, “This partnership marks a major milestone in our work to expand economic activity and to support local jobs through cruise, and we look forward to advancing together our shared vision for sustainability and responsible tourism.”
Refreshed Ship Offers Upgraded Grills, Suites, and Wellness Programs
Following a comprehensive update, the Queen Elizabeth now showcases enhanced interior spaces and an elevated experience for guests staying in the Princess and Queens Grills. These premium accommodations offer larger suites, additional amenities, dedicated butler service, and access to private venues and dining options.
Michelin-starred chef Michel Roux has crafted a three-course gala dinner menu available exclusively to Grill Suite guests, adding a new level of culinary refinement.
Wellness has also been prioritized with the introduction of The Pavilion Wellness Café and the Harper’s Bazaar Wellness at Sea program, giving guests a variety of options to unwind and focus on their wellbeing.
Summer Itineraries and Special Onboard Experiences
The cruise line is offering 7- to 11-night Alaska itineraries between June and September 2025. Fares begin at $1,109 per person for a balcony cabin, based on double occupancy.
Voyages will include stops at destinations such as Ketchikan, Glacier Bay National Park, Skagway, Juneau, and Victoria, British Columbia.
Cunard is continuing its partnership with the Royal Canadian Geographical Society to bring a robust enrichment program onboard, which includes expert-led discussions about the Alaskan region. In addition, the “Locals Onboard” series will highlight regional voices and perspectives.
To celebrate the Pacific Northwest, local wines will also be available for guests to enjoy throughout their journey.
Future Plans: Queen Elizabeth to Move to Miami in Fall
Once the Alaska season concludes, the Queen Elizabeth will reposition to Miami this October, beginning her first full Caribbean season—marking the first time Cunard has assigned a ship to a complete Caribbean schedule.
This upcoming season will introduce new onboard entertainment offerings, including performances by Tony Award-winning actress Sutton Foster and an exclusive rendition of the Tony Award-winning musical Come From Away.
