Celestyal Installs In-Cabin Tablets Across Journey Fleetwide
Celestyal has finished installing in-cabin guest experience tablets in all 630 staterooms aboard the Celestyal Journey, marking the first time a cruise line has introduced SuitePad devices across its entire cabin inventory, the company said in a statement.
The tablets, supplied by SuitePad, are now available to every guest sailing on the 1,260-passenger ship.
Celestyal explained that the technology is intended to improve onboard service delivery and make communication with guests faster and more efficient.
Using the tablets, passengers can submit service requests, make purchases through onboard shops, order room service, request cabin upgrades, and book tables at specialty dining venues. Guests can also view key information such as deck layouts and entertainment schedules, reducing the need for printed flyers and daily programs.
“Technology should always make the cruising experience feel easier and more intuitive for our travellers, and that’s exactly what these tablets are designed to do. Our guests now have more control at their fingertips, while we also create smarter, more seamless ways to connect them with our onboard offering. It’s a great example of how we continue to invest in guest satisfaction across our fleet,” said Lee Haslett, Chief Commercial Officer at Celestyal.
Moritz von-Petersdorf-Campen, CEO of SuitePad, highlighted the partnership as an extension of hotel-style service enhancements at sea.
“Cruise ships combine many of the service elements guests know from hotels, while offering a uniquely rich onboard experience. With Celestyal, we’re extending our hospitality expertise to support clear, timely communication in the cabin, giving passengers an easy way to explore what’s available onboard and helping crew teams stay connected with guests throughout the journey,” he said.
