Costa Serena to Feature New Menus by Michelin Starred Chefs

The Costa Serena will soon undergo a major refurbishment ahead of its 2025-26 deployment in Southeast Asia and the Far East, marking the completion of Costa Cruises’ €200 million fleet revitalization initiative over the past five years.
Built in 2007, the ship is set to debut a revamped dining experience, upgraded accommodations, and a refreshed contemporary design. One of the highlights of the renovation is the introduction of Archipelago, a fine dining venue featuring exclusive menus crafted by three Michelin-starred chefs.
Other new additions include the Pizzeria Pummid’Oro and Sushino@Costa, complementing the ship’s expanded food court and modernized bars. Costa also revealed that the main dining rooms will receive a complete redesign, alongside refitted pool decks and newly renovated suites.
Originally designed by Joe Farcus, the Serena’s interiors will be updated while maintaining their Olympian gods theme. The refreshed spaces will feature modern shapes, colors, and textures inspired by pop art, creating a vibrant and playful atmosphere throughout the ship.
The vessel’s drydock will take place in Southeast Asia between late October and mid-November 2025.
Following another year of cruising in Asia, the Costa Serena will embark on an epic 65-night world cruise from Tokyo to Buenos Aires, departing October 18, 2026. The itinerary will visit 24 ports across 15 countries, before the ship begins a South American season serving Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay.
In the summer of 2027, the ship will return to Europe, taking over Costa Fortuna’s former Mediterranean itineraries.
With its Michelin-star dining, stylish new design, and global itineraries, the Costa Serena is poised to deliver one of Costa Cruises’ most elevated experiences yet.
