Marella Cruises has unveiled its fourth specialty dining option aboard the Marella Voyager, Umi Sushi, serving Japanese-influenced dishes, launching in December 2025.

Umi Sushi, marking the 17th dining establishment on the Marella Voyager, will offer freshly made ramen, personalized sushi boxes and Mochi Ice Cream bowls.

Luke Murphy, senior product development manager at Marella Cruises, said: “We wanted to bring something fresh and exciting for our customers onboard the Marella Voyager, and Japanese cuisine offers the perfect balance of flavor, artistry and variety.”

According to a company press release, the reservable bento dining package is available for £18.95 and consists of:

  • A ramen dish
  • Two Otsumami-style snack bites
  • Two selections from either sushi, sashimi, or poke dishes, and
  • A dessert.

Every meal is accompanied by three small bites: edamame, seaweed crackers and Asian pickles.

Marella noted that guests can pick from an assortment of Japanese-style ramen options, such as Char Siu Pork Fillet, Golden Panko Chicken, and Miso Tofu.

To complement the entrée, diners can choose from various ‘Otsumami’, Japanese appetizer plates meant for sharing, including Katsu Chicken Wings, Pork Gyoza, Crab Shumai and Steamed Bao Buns.

The menu will also feature freshly crafted sashimi, poke, and sushi offerings prepared at the counter.

Selections include:

  • The Mr Chang, featuring prawn tempura, avocado, cucumber, spicy mayonnaise and crispy crumb
  • The Legend with crab, roasted red pepper, Japanese mayonnaise and smoked caviar
  • East “Meats” West with bacon, beef sirloin and cheese wrapped in potato strings
  • Teriyaki with chicken, avocado and teriyaki sauce
  • Teriyaki Tofu with carrot, sweet pepper and cucumber
  • Tuna Poke with cucumber, radish and spicy mayo, and
  • Salmon Sashimi served as thinly sliced salmon with traditional condiments.

For dessert, guests can enjoy a Chocolate and Miso Torte served with toasted sesame cream, a Strawberry and Lime Leaf Cheesecake and Mochi Ice Cream available in strawberry, chocolate, or vanilla flavors.

The 34-seat venue will operate from 06:30 p.m. to 09:00 p.m. daily.
