MSC Opera to Sail Caribbean Year-Round from 2026

MSC Cruises has revealed plans for the MSC Opera to remain in the South Caribbean throughout the entire year, starting from the winter 2026-27 season and continuing into summer 2027. This will be the cruise line’s first time stationing a ship in the region during the summer months.
For the 2026-27 winter season, the MSC Opera will be joined by MSC Seaview, marking the first instance of MSC Cruises operating two ships simultaneously in the South Caribbean during this period.
The MSC Opera will feature weekly cruises lasting seven nights, with travelers having the option to combine two for a 14-night journey. Stops will include popular ports such as the Dominican Republic, Martinique, Guadeloupe, the British Virgin Islands, Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, and the Netherlands Antilles.
La Romana in the Dominican Republic will serve as the ship’s primary homeport, with its first voyage scheduled for November 16, 2026. From April 2027 onward, Fort-de-France in Martinique will also function as a secondary embarkation point.
Among the destinations on the MSC Opera itinerary are Oranjestad (Aruba), Bridgetown (Barbados), Kralendijk (Bonaire), Willemstad (Curaçao), Samaná Bay (Dominican Republic), Saint George (Grenada), Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe), Philipsburg (Sint Maarten), Basseterre (Saint Kitts and Nevis), and Road Town (British Virgin Islands).
At the same time, MSC Seaview will run seven-night cruises departing from Fort-de-France. Its route will include Pointe-à-Pitre, Philipsburg, St. John’s (Antigua and Barbuda), Basseterre, Roseau (Dominica), Bridgetown, Kingstown (St. Vincent and the Grenadines), Saint George, and Castries (Saint Lucia).
