Piano Land Concludes First Malaysia Season, Returns to Hong Kong
Astro Ocean has completed its inaugural deployment from Malaysia, with Piano Land now sailing back to Hong Kong carrying 1,700 guests, according to a company statement.
During the Malaysia program, the vessel operated 12 cruises and welcomed more than 16,700 passengers. The itineraries included sailings between Port Klang, Penang, and Langkawi in Malaysia, as well as Phuket in Thailand.
The company noted that it became the first Chinese cruise brand to operate from international homeports and said the deployment delivered a meaningful economic boost to Malaysia.
Throughout its Malaysia-based season, the ship sailed with certification from JAKIM, the federal authority responsible for halal matters in Malaysia. This allowed Piano Land to serve a broad selection of halal food options. Astro Ocean added that onboard entertainment and service offerings were also adapted to better suit local preferences.
Piano Land is scheduled to arrive back in Hong Kong on December 31, where it will begin offering a range of itineraries lasting between four and 12 nights.
