Princess Cruises Announces 2% Pay Raise for Crew in 2026
Princess Cruises has introduced a salary increase for eligible crew members, acknowledging their dedication and performance throughout 2025.
In a message shared with staff, company president Gus Antorcha expressed appreciation for what he called an “outstanding year,” citing accomplishments in guest service, health and safety, compliance, and sustainability across the fleet.
Princess said that all qualifying crew received a 2% rank-based pay increase, effective January 1, 2026. The adjustment will appear in the month-end January payroll. Crew members currently serving in acting roles will receive the increase based on their confirmed rank pay rate.
Leadership described the raise as “another step in the right direction” toward enhancing career development, recognizing strong performance, and improving the onboard working environment.
The company also highlighted several recent initiatives designed to support crew, including new incentive programs, revised maternity and retirement policies, and upgraded scheduling tools. These efforts were described as part of a long-term goal of making Princess Cruises “a premier place to work.”
“Your dedication inspires us to keep raising the bar,” Antorcha wrote, adding that further investment in crew-focused programs and resources will continue.
Crew currently onboard with questions about the pay change were advised to speak with their ship’s HR team, while those at home can contact the Fleet Compensation Team for additional guidance.
The announcement comes as seafarers across the wider maritime industry continue to call for better wages, improved working conditions, and greater long-term security. For many Princess crew members, the latest raise is being viewed as an encouraging development as 2026 begins.
Looking ahead, company management closed the message by thanking crew for their continued professionalism and commitment, calling them essential to delivering “elevated vacations” to guests around the world.
