Ukrainian Drone Strike Damages Russian Port of Tuapse
The Russian port of Tuapse, a key oil terminal on the Black Sea, was struck by a Ukrainian drone attack on November 2, causing damage to several vessels - including at least one tanker - and to port infrastructure.
According to Russian officials, two foreign ships were docked at the terminal when the strike occurred and sustained damage. Regional authorities in Krasnodar reported that fires broke out in multiple terminal facilities and that an apartment building in the nearby village of Sosnovy was also affected.
Russian news agencies stated that defense units intercepted 164 drones during the assault. Authorities added that there were no casualties among crew members and that all fires have since been extinguished. The current operational status of the port remains unclear, though reports and images show significant fire damage and destruction.
As one of Russia’s largest oil-exporting hubs, the port of Tuapse has been a frequent target of Ukrainian attacks, with several similar incidents reported earlier this year.
